The sign on the pole wins. Rates and time limits here come from the City of Sydney's parking meter data. They change, and there are loading zones, resident bays and clearways mixed in among them.

Read the sign before you walk away. All metered bays below are $7 an hour, payable by card, coins or the meter app.

If you need to leave the car all day

Street bays top out at four hours, so a full day means a car park. Both of these are a bit of a walk, and neither is ours, so treat the pricing as a starting point and check on the way in.

Free for a bit

The shopping centre car park runs a free period for the first couple of hours, once a day, and a free evening rate if you arrive after 6pm.

Conditions change and they've been known to tighten them, so read the signage at the boom gate rather than trusting this page.

Worth knowing

  • Unloading gear? Pull up on Jones Street, get the gear inside, then go and park properly. Don't leave a car in a loading zone through a shoot.
  • Coming by train? Central is about a fifteen minute walk, and the light rail stops at Exhibition Centre and Glebe.
